Top 5 Wedding Invitation Questions Answered!

Here are the Top 5 Wedding Invite Questions Answered!

1. DO I NEED TO SEND OUT A SAVE THE DATE?

The long and short of it is "no". Save the Dates are not necessary but are a nice touch if you want to increase the odds of people attending & motivate your guests to get excited about your big day! Save the Dates are highly recommended for couples planning a destination wedding or planning a wedding that will take place during a holiday time. This will allow your guests to make arrangements , in advance, to see you "tie the knot".

2. WHEN SHOULD I SEND OUT OUR SAVE THE DATES & INVITES?

As a general rule you should consider sending out your Save The Dates approximately 6-8 months prior to your wedding and your invites should go out 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding.

3. WHO SHOULD GET A PLUS ONE?

Plus Ones should only be given to people in a committed relationships. That means anyone married, living together, or dating over 6 months. Of course any couple under the 6 month mark can be invited... but do not feel obligated.

4. SHOULD I PUT REGISTRY INFORMATION ON THE INVITE?

This is a big no-no! Registry information means asking for a gift and that is part of the bridal shower. You can put registry information on your wedding website or let guests ask friends & family for that information.

5. IS THERE A POLITE WAY TO ASK GUESTS TO ARRIVE "ON TIME" FOR THE CEREMONY?

Yes, the best verbiage is to include "Please arrive promptly". It tells your guests that your ceremony will start right on time and lets them know not to arrive too early or too late.
